The CTMP 2006 is a light weight, portable instrument transformer test set that offers
more features, exceptional value, and greater testing productivity than any similar
test set !! The CTMP 2006 is the only CT/PT test set with a color graphic touch screen,
an industry first ! This superb user interface lets you operate faster with less confusion
and fewer errors ! The CTMP will write data directly into a supplied Excel spreadsheet
template for very efficient data sheet creation including a saturation graph ! Your data
sheet is filled out for you as you test ! You waste less time and your data sheet is
saved in a format readable on virtually any modern computer. Link to a PC via supplied
serial cable or optional Bluetooth link ! The unit performs a complete test of an
instrument transformer, current or potential. Current transformers can be tested when
installed in transformers, switchgear and circuit breakers.
Voltage and current inputs are provided to allow the unit to measure an external
voltage, current and phase angle. Current may be measured using the 0-6A hardwire input
or a supplied fluke clamp on that allows "non invasive" measurement to 100A. The unit
therefore eliminates the need for the phase angle and other meters previously required
to commission a protective relay or metering scheme. The CTMP replaces most functions
of the older "PENTAMETER" style instruments and is more accurate !
The CTMP offers the unique ability to
ratio an energized CT !
A high current output supplies up to 80 AMPS to test basic protective relays. A timer
with a fully configurable stop input is included. The high current mode now offers a
DLRO function that will accurately test the contact resistance of circuit breakers
using a Kelvin connection. The CTMP measuring circuit aquires the output current, the
specimen voltage drop, the angle between these parameters and solves for the resistive
component. The CTMP replaces the "DUCTOR" or "DLRO" and basic "SR-30" style relay test
sets.
