This mode meters the current output at the X1-X2 terminals and the current input at the I terminals or clamp on. The unit also measures the angle between these currents. The hardwire or clamp input is selected from an easy to use menu screen.

A current may then be injected at the CT terminals and its amplitude and direction verified in a relay or other component. The angle reading allows verification of connection in all cases including those where a WYE or DELTA connection is made in a remote junction box. This test proves continuity and correct connection to meters and relays prior to energizing equipment. Current is sourced by the 0-200V output allowing a long modified extension cord to be used as a test lead, sufficient current may be injected using hundreds of feet of light gauge wire if necessary.
